I am not embarrassed to admit that in more than one occasion we have relied on using payday advance to get us out of a rut we have gotten ourselves into. Especially when we have some kind of unexpected cost that have not been calculated into the bills. For instance my 4 year old decided to stick a bead in his ear and the cost to the emergency room cost us 100 dollars that we did not have available.

I know we should save for those unexpected occasions and I will start saving soon. I am just glad that in situations like the one I mentioned I had the option of using the payday advance. I really need to start saving for a rainy day. I usually have the option of using my credit cards but I used those for christmas.

I came over to visit my childhood friend who gave birth not to long ago to her very first kid. I have been helping her around the house and I have been helping her write some baby thank you cards for all the gifts she has recieved for the baby.

I love seeing how many people care about Diana,and how they show their love by sending her baby alot of wonderful stuff like clothes and diapers. I am amazed how some of them got together to buy her the stroller she wanted. It’s such a wonderful thing to see how much people care about you.

The least I could do for her is come over and help her for a few hours and the benefit of it all is getting to hold her sweet baby boy in my arms. I think the best reward I could possibly get, is getting to experience those precious moments that her and her baby are sharing right now.

Happy New Year’s everyone!! I wish I would have ordered some Unique Fruit Baskets to send to all my friends. I like to start the year giving my friends something unexpected and fruit baskets always make great gifts.

I love getting surprises and I think that my friends would have loved it. I wish I would have thought of ordering the gift baskets a week ago. I guess I can order them at anytime but I really felt today was a good day to have recieived them. I forgot to mention that one of my childhood friend had her baby. I sent her a fruit basket a couple of weeks ago and she loved it. Throughout her whole pregnancy she has been craving fresh fruit and she told me this was one of the best gifts she has gotten.

Talking about fruit baskets has made me crave fruit now. I wonder if it’s tacky to just order a fruit basket for myself right now lol.

As the new year is approaching I am only thinking about the fitness equipment I am going to have to use to get rid of all these unwanted pounds. I have sadly gained so much weight and I can’t stand it anymore. I need to find a way to maintain some sort of portion control when it comes to my eating.

I also need to get a gym membership and start working out. I bet that if I went at least 5 times a week to the gym I would work off some of these pounds and get toned up real good. I just need to find the determination to do it. Tomorrow is a Brand new year and time to start new. I KNOW I can do this, I really need to believe in myself.

I am going to do it this year!!!! I am going to slowly get to the weight I want to be.

I wish I didn’t have sensitive feet. I always thought that If I wanted my to feet to be comfortable,  Iwould have to give up wearing stylish shoes. Growing up I struggled to find shoes that were comfortable and were in style. I did not want to be teased by the other kids for wearing ugly shoes. My mother tried to find me shoes that she felt had enough cushion to support my sensitive feet. Let me tell you there weren’t that many options when I was growing up. I often gave up style for comfort when it came to my feet.

I am glad that now I have the option of finding comfortable and stylish shoes at Zappos.com. One brand of shoes that seem to work with my feet are Born shoes. The way Born shoes are made makes you feel as if you were walking barefoot and thats the way I like it. Born shoes are made so light and flexible and the best part to me at least is that they are really durable. I hated having to struggle to find another pair of shoes that fit me just as good as the prior shoes did.

Since it’s winter I have been wanting to get some Born boots but I have been struggling with what style I should get. Who would have thought that at one point in my life I didn’t have much of a choice in shoes and now my options are endless. So far these are my two favorite boots and  shoes

What do you think about the styles?

There are two things I cant be without. One of them is my cellphone and the other is my computer. I would love to have a better cellphone than the one I am currently using though. I have an old blackberry and I would love to get a new samsung galaxy have you seen how cool they look?

I am quite the talker and having a good cell is important. I go throug alot of cellphones and its time I need a new one. I also need a new computer because this one is full of crap and runs slow. I would hate to think that I would ever have to go without either one of those two things. I hate to admit it but I am a electronics junkie and I am attached to my tools to the outside world.

What are the things you cant live without?

Guess how I spent my day yesterday? I spent my day fixing the van thats how. I swear I need be a member of some kind of roadside assistance club because the cars keep breakign down on me. Thank goodness I was able to make it to the car dealership for them to look at the van.

I am also glad that the van broke down yesterday and not today when the kids have doctors appointments. I am glad that the van didnt take alot of money to fix and that the issue it had was the tire and not something major. I hope that next year we dont have issues with either of the vehicles because we really cant afford to be fixing them all the time.

On another note I am so ready for this rain to go away. I hate driving in the rain because there are alot of drivers who have no clue what they are doing.

I get soo tired of looking at the ugly lights that came with the house when we bought it. The kitchen had nice chandelier lights and the dining room did too but the living room lights and the hallway lights are really plain and look out of place.
I would love getting scone lights for the hallway and I have seen some hudson valley lighting wall scones that would go lovely in my house.

I keep telling my husband that if we save up some money and do a few things at a time we can get the hosue down how we want it. No one I know remodels their whole house in one shot. My auntie recentlu had her kitcken remodeled and it cost her way less than she thought.

I bet when can fix up our house little by little and paint the walls and we would feel like its a brand new house all over again. I wonder if it is just women who like to redecorate ? My hubby would be quite happy having the house stay like it is but I am sick and tired of it looking the same.

My eyes have gotten so bad. I guess the older I get the worse my eyesight gets.I went to the eye doctor and got my eye prescription but the glasses they were offering were way out of my price range. I dont mind buying cheap eyeglasses its just a matter of finding nice ones for my prescription.

I better start looking for some good glasses that work with a high index before my prescription expires. I hate having such bad eyesight. I wish I could find some good contact lenses and not have to worry about finding glasses. I dont want any steve urkel looking glasses I wnat nice and fashionable ones that make the lens thinner so it will fit smaller frames. I just dont want to spend damn near 300 dollars on a pair pof glasses.

I am almost done with christmas shopping. I have a few gifts to get the kids but I am pretty much done. My youngest daughter might want a karaoke machine but I am not sure if I will be getting it this season.

I still want to get the kids some more clothes but other than that I am done. I think I am going to relax and watch movies with my kids today. If I feel up to it I might venture out to the stores to shop on black friday. What will you be doing today?

I also want to say that I am very thankful for the wonderful family I have been blessed with. I couldnt have asked for more.
