wierdness in the middle of the night

I got so scared last night because out of nowhere the garage door opened. How the heck did it do that when all of us were in the house and most of the family was sleeping. I got so scared that I woke up the hubby and had him check around the house with a wooden bat in his hand.
I told him that we should look into one of those video surveillance equipment that can get installed all around the house. I get so paranoid and now my nerves are in a bunch cause of it. I bet I am going to have problems sleeping now cause I am gonna think someone is trying to break in.
I swear I worry about alot of stupid things but someone breaking into the house is not think little. I am going to have to find out what is making the garage door open by itself.
