So I was released from the hospital last wednesday but the babies had to stay because their lungs were not fully mature and Baby number two stopped breathing in his sleep for a few seconds so they wanted to keep them longer for observation.

Hopefully they will be coming home on wednesday. I miss them so much I cant wait to take them home. The good thing about the babies is that they have gained weight while in the hospital and I think they wont need preemie clothes after all.

My c section hurts off and on and I sometimes wish I had all those bathroom safety products they had in the hospital because my balance is off when I am trying to sit down in the toilet(sorry for the tmi).
I have been trying to rest alot and stay off my feet because they have gotten swollen and that scared the crap outta me. I never got so swollen with the other babies so it was a shocker for me.
other than that I have been pretty chill.

I Think this is going to to be my last night at the hospital which is a good because I miss my bed. Even though it isn’t one of those nice sleep number bed it is comfortable because I have a memory topper on it.

I have been so uncomfortable in this hosptal bed but it could be because of the c section and not the bed. All I know is that my back has been hurting as well as my front.

I hope the babies get to come home soon.

I need to make a list of a few Items that I need  for the babies.  I need to get some recievig blankets and I need a laundry hamper  just for the babies clothes so they don’t get mixed in with the other kids. I also need to buy some of those swaddle blankets because the boys like to be wrapped up really tight. I need to get some breast pads and I probably need a few more nursing bras.

I have to write these things down cause I  keep forgetting.  I also want to check into birth announcements to send to my family.

You will not believe all the life changing events that went on this weekend. I went into my doctor’s appointment on friday and when she checked me I was three centimeters dilated which was crazy cause two days before that I was not dilateted at all. I had originally went in the labor and delivery place at 2:am on wednesday  because I had contractions but they were 10 to 15 minutes apart and since I didn’t dilate they sent me home. So we stayed in San Diego because thursday we had a non stress test and friday we had a docters appointment.

Well back to the story since I was 3centimeters dilated  the doctor wanted me to walk for an hour and see if my  contractions would come closer together.  So I walked around the hospital and went back up to labor and delivery an hour later.  The doctor then checks me and asks me if I am having any contractions. I tell her I cannot feel any and she tells me well you are now 5 centimeters dilated and we are admitting you in.

At this point I am flabergasted beyond belief first because I have nothing ready second because I didn’t think they were going to be coming so soon and I was not mentally prepared . I was told to make a quick decision as to wether I wanted to try and have one vaginally and have then try to turn the other baby because he was breech or did I want an emergency c section. The odds of delivering one vaginal and one c section was more than likely so I opted for having the c section only and getting them out that way.

I was in shock at how quickly things went. I was admitted in at 4pm and by 5:05 and 5:06  both babies were born. The first baby weighed 5lbs 15oz and the second weighed 5lbs 8oz and their doctor believes they are Identical.

So that is what went on this weekend .. I could haven never imagined that it would have happend so quickly but I am happy my boys are here.
